Clinical Lead · Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Gerard has set up two specialist Men's Health Physiotherapy clinics in Birmingham and also London. A leading male pelvic health clinician working in both clinics and also a national and international teacher of physiotherapists and other clinicians in this field.
When men have been told “everything looks normal” but they’re still living with pelvic pain, bladder problems, erectile dysfunction or ongoing symptoms after prostate cancer treatment, many are referred to Gerard Greene.
Gerard is one of the UK’s leading Men’s Health Physiotherapists and has developed a national reputation for treating complex male pelvic health conditions. Patients travel from across the UK to see him, particularly for male pelvic pain, pudendal neuralgia, hard flaccid syndrome, post-prostatectomy rehabilitation, urinary symptoms, cycling-related pelvic pain and erectile dysfunction.
Alongside treating patients in our Harborne clinic, Gerard is one of the few physiotherapists in private practice who also teaches other physiotherapists across the UK and internationally. He regularly delivers postgraduate courses in men’s health physiotherapy, pelvic pain, diagnostic ultrasound imaging and focused shockwave therapy, helping clinicians develop specialist skills to improve patient care.
Gerard is also an Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy at Coventry University, where he teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapists. Combining university teaching with specialist clinical practice allows him to bring the latest evidence and techniques directly into every patient consultation.
Gerard believes that no man should simply be told to “live with” symptoms. He takes time to understand the root cause of each problem, explain it in a way that is easy to understand, and develop an individual treatment plan that gives patients confidence in their recovery.
Whether you are experiencing pelvic pain, bladder or bowel symptoms, erectile dysfunction, or recovering after prostate cancer surgery, Gerard’s aim is simple: to provide expert, evidence-based care that helps you return to the activities and quality of life that matter most.
